The only current guy that attempts any real freestyle is Cormier. Not so much on the feet but on top. He does some gut wrenches. Hrovat has some exposure moves. But that's it. Even when Americans win internationally, they don't know how to do any freestyle moves most of the time. It is truly sad.

What is frustrating is that John Smith, Dave Schultz and even Baumgartner had good freestyle moves on top. So, its not like Americans can't do freestyle moves.

I agree Big. And when the Americns get in a scoring hole, it's rather easy for the opposition to shut down and hold on to their lead. No fear of geting exposed = score early and then shut down.
