I actually went to high school with Jake's dad, Jason. Jake's dad was a two time MN heavyweight champ. A bit of a size difference but he had a bit of a pedigree. Couldn't have hurt him to have Paulson training him for the past few years.

Congrats to Jake. MN has two native wrestlers (Dietchler & Bernard 158.5 Women's) going to the Olympics continuing a tradition of one Minnesotan on every Olympic wrestling team since 1968.
