Gia loses the wrestle-off to Saeed today. Saeed will represent Canada in the Olympics.

Saeed had lost to Gia over and over, slowly began to narrow the gap as Gia got older, and I guess he finally beat him at the right time.

saeed really steped it up. I heard gia barely made weight which affected his performance.

Okay.. I would just like to point out that Guivi wrestled that match. He lost it, Saeed did not win. Saeed just happend to be on the mat when Guivi lost to himself.

First round was a terrible call on a misthrow with 20 seconds left, which led to a second round with Guivi getting a near fall on a throw. I would also like to state that Saeed followed his game plan very well " DO NOTHING " as he didn't have an offensive chances to score. The third round was decided when Guivi, not wanting to wrestle to clinch attempted a throw with little time left and got caught.

It was not a good match for either wrestler, and should Saeed wrestle like this in the Olympics I doubt he will make it throught the first round.

Too bad.

Hopefully someone youtube's the match. Defensive wrestling or not, if Saeed's able to beat Gia Sissouri he's quite capable of doing damage at the olympics. It's been a long time coming for him.

It's not the match, it's the comments. Of course this is my opinion, but I will let the rest of the posters on this forum judge once they see it. The point I was making is that there was no offense generated by saeed. Which would hurt him if he wrestled like that at the international level.
