Mavlet and Dudaev are favorites to go to Olympics. Adam is considered a step behind. They are giving him a chance to wrestle at Europeans to get some experience on a major stage.

No way! I don't know what Batirov's father was thinking. So what if they threaten to leave? What were they going to do, wrestle for Tajikistan where they'll have no facilities nor money? I don't think so.

Don't be so sure! People in that region live according a specific ethics which is not understandable for outsiders. The institution of the blood feud is still functioning there. You can never know what a dishonored person is able to do. A year ago the brother of coach Tedeev was killed. Rumors say it was a result of a blood feud. Four days ago in the training camp of the Russian team, Chechens and Ossetians were involved in a conflict in which one or more person(s) got even gunshot wounds. This conflict immediately caused another one: between B. Saitiev and Tedeev, in which they exchanged some blows. The score isn't available. Chechens said Saitiev had won. Ossetians said Tedeev had been the winner. Whatever the result was, the consequences are unpredictable (for outsiders).

i always wondered how well the russian team got along, considering many of them are from opposing regions and faiths. I can imagine things get very heated at national team training camps.

P.S.
Any chance that B. Saitiev's fight with Tadeev might affect his spot on the team, considering that Tadeev has a say in who gets to go?
