Hi All,

I just posted a few photos from the women's freestyle and the men's greco from the NYAC tourney on http://www.amateurwrestlingphotos.com (more greco pics and captions will be coming in the near future).

Unfortunately all of the images are from preliminary rounds after they had released my weight class for a short period of time, and I was unable to photograph any of the finals bouts. In past years they ran the 3rd/4th place bouts before the finals, but this year they decided to run them simultaneously and I was wrestling for 3rd/4th. But I think my colleague Julieta took some photos from the finals and will hopefully be posting them to the site at some point.

Two of the best bouts were the 55 kg greco bout between Mango and the Romanian who he had lost to 2 nights earlier in the dual -- who he beat in the finals of the tournament and everyone was going nuts. Another great bout was 55 kg women between Jenny Wong and Marcie Van Dusen -- so if anyone has videos from those, please post them!!

No problem! Next up will be the CLiff Keen Las Vegas Invitational in a week and a half. Let me know if anyone has any requests for photos of certain wrestlers or certain teams and I will do my best to get some of them.

Hey did you happen to get any photos of Iris Smith closed fist punching the Canadian girl in the face after Iris proceeded to double leg her into the chairs and then push her again after the girl got up?

No I didn't -- I was warming up for my match and missed it. Is that exactly what happened? No one down on the 3rd mat really knew what was going on and just heard that there was a fight.

Don't know if there was any pushing before that but all I saw was Iris double legging the girl into the chairs and continuing to drive her way after the whistle and then push her again. When Iris turned around the girl got up and shoved her from behind and Iris turned around and hit her with a closed fist.

She got DQ'ed and then went after the girl again at the head table. Dremiel had to hold her back.
