My Mood: ![]() ![]() | I posted this on the "other" forum as well but wanted to make sure that my brothers and sisters here in in the promised land got the sad news as well .I posted this on the International Forum as well. I'm not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but I am very sad to report that USA Wrestling has announced that former Boston U and US Military great Todd Giles has died suddenly at age 45. The details as known thus far are posted here: http://www.themat.com/index.php?page=showarticle&ArticleID=17080 Todd was an All-American for Boston University and was responsible for one of the greatest upsets in NCAA tourny history when he beat defending 190lb champ Pete Bush of Iowa in the preliminary rounds of the 1983 NCAAs, eliminating Bush. Todd later went on to be a USA national Greco champion and 198 lb Olympic and world team alternate. He served as an assistant coach at BU and Lehigh. Todd was a good and tough man and a good friend whom I had the pleasure of working out with and hanging out with at many a USA greco training camp. He was a great representative and role model for wrestling and every team that he was involved with. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, children and extended family. God Bless you Todd, you will be missed.

![]() | Todd also served as an assistant coach at the United States Military Academy, where he coached and mentored me for 2 years. I have a recruit going to BU so I figured I would look Todd up, given he was a great wrestling alum, and discovered this posting. This is sad news, he will be missed. My prayers go out to his family.
