I am in middle school and I am new to the whole freestyle state stuff in California. Do you have to qualify for it? If so what place? What comes after the state tournamen? Is all this same for folkstyle and greco ? Thank you

Assuming it runs like other USAW states, you will have a regional tournament that qualifies a certain # of wrestlers to the State. After the state tournament you can head to "regional national" tournaments.

There are many National tournaments as well. Most of these, at your age level, do not have any qualifiers.
