Very sad.

Just did a quick google news search, and this story is being widely reported in the Lafayette, Louisiana media (Cormier's hometown)... and in Oklahoma (where he wrestled in college.) None of the stories are as detailed as the one posted by Big, from the Lafayette Advertiser. (Thanks, Big!)

No news stories about this at TheMat.com that I could find.

Here's hoping and praying for a speedy and full recovery, Daniel.

I'm not sure if I feel sorry for him or if I'm pissed at him.

It's not like his appendix burst, this was avoidable.

It was obvious brought on by extreme weight cutting / dehydration.

This sends a very bad message about our sport.

Nope not good for the sport all together. This is the problem with so few weights. You have too many guys trying to get to the lowest possible weight no matter what.
