I think he is fine now, can we tear him to shreds? How do you sit for 2 weeks and not address your weight like ur supposed to AT THE OLYMPICS, WHEN YOUR A MEDAL FAVORITE? Heck, I guess if common sense translated to talent, lots of us could have had a shot.
Obviously i dont wish any ill will or future complications, but I refuse to feel sorry for him.
I hope this will serve as a deterrent to those young wrestlers who think they can win without discipline. Of course, they might get lucky, but why leave it to chance? Cormier was always carrying around 30 pounds of useless fat. He chose to dehydrate himself in a few hours, rather than to lose the fat over months. If the Olympic Games do not provide sufficient motivation to get some discipline, what does?
Cormier should have wrestled at HWT Kevin Jackson is at fault. American mentality is at fault. He was told he was too short, too small, blah blah blah. But maybe he would shoot on that Russian and beat him.

Cormier is a grown man and decided what weight to go. Jackson may have guided him, as did probably John Smith since he's in Stillwater a lot, but come on. He has to take responsibility for himself.
Can we wait until we have a little more information before we begin throwing stones. I recognise the disappointment caused by Mr. Cormier not being able to wrestle, especially in light of the (perhaps unrealistic) expectations, but people are shredding his character based on one press release and a lot of conjecture. Good grief, no discipline? You are telling me a man reached the Olympics in wrestling but lacks personal discipline?
We have absolutely no knowledge of the events that lead up to his illness, but the people on this forum are acting like he poured sand on their ice cream cone.
