sounds like fila is tring to stack the draw against usa and russia, Cejudo has Bulgaria first and zadick has a very tough Ukrainian. WHY DONT THEY SEED???!!!!

I am glad they don't seed. The best guy should win regardless. If that bumps the next best guy to a bronze, well that sucks he should have won to begin with.
Unfortunately the US did not get great seeds to start, but if wrestler were seeded they would not have had any better, a young stud that has not done anything consistent internationally, and a guy that did not qualify the weight but got in (even if he was a world silver medalist).
Has anyone ever been to the USA Nationals seeding meeting. It is crazy and people are making deals and fighting-and they all speak the same language-just imagine internationally-plus someone is bound to get screwed.
Just let them wrestle!!!

Actually I believe the wrestlers themselves draw lots as they step off of the scale. At least that is the way that it used to be. So if you have a tough draw you have no one to blame but yourself.

They Draw them out of a computer now its totally random. Hence why the draws are all f'd up haha

A very simple- and sensible- way to seed would be to use last year's WC/Olympic result. So for next year at 55 kg USA is #1, Japan is #2, and I guess you need a tiebreaker between the two bronze medalists to determine a #3... hey, we could have a real bronze medal match!
