Default Nations best wrestler skipping fargo

What are thoughts on David Taylor 5x fargo champ in 6attempts sitting out of Fargo?
Ohio would have had a great shot at 4-5 champions now I'm thinking more like 3 or 4

Fargo just isn't what it used to be.

How much do you think that is a result of the new(er) weight classes?

It definitely was more competitive when they had weights broken down like *(121,132,143,154), but has it made it that much more watered down?

I think the weight classes have somethingto do with it, i think the new rules have something to do with it and another issue, out of Fargo's control, our economy and high gas prices has to be playing a big roll.

There seems to have been a trend a couple of years ago and continuing with some of the top guys not going. Overall I think the rules changes made the biggest difference.

The expense has gotten out of control. For guys from Louisiana to go the cost is prohibitive. They require commitments to several tournaments in addition to Fargo. The total bill would end up being over $2000. That sure limits the number of kids having the opportunity.

I think the weight classes have everything to do w/ it. I remember when I was back in HS, there would be 12-15 really tough guys in every weight. Now it seems like there are 4 or 5. In the middle weights, there would be pretty much 2.5 high school weights in every Fargo bracket...now there is just 1.

I remember back when I first got out of college and started teaching/coaching and taking kids to tournaments and I stayed broke !! The expenses then were nothing like they are today so I can't blame alot of people for staying home -you enter two kids in Fargo and for the weekend you're gonna spend a coupla grand round trip.

What amazes me is the fact that these kids keep finding ways to get there -I would rather spend the money on training equipment at home .

I've been reading recent articles about him stating his weight is well into the 130 - 140 range. I'm really interested to see how he competes his senior year. I always thought he looked long for a light weight...

David is technically sound, he will be just fine.

I see him winning Ironman and another State title.
