My Mood: Tournament Joined: 0 Tournament Wins: 0 | Re: What Is A Leg Ride ? I know from experience, being a decent leg rider myself. Not saying I'm the best because I'm far from it, but I've put the legs in on a lot of good HS wrestlers who went D1 in my day and turned them.

I always tell people that want to get good at it, the must have strong legs and strong arms/forearms in order to properly apply the pressure needed to be good at it.
I even wrote an article about using the leg ride for a wrestling resource site. I wrote it several years ago and it was kind of hard to put to words, but I think I did alright. As I look back at it, it needs an update.

I guess when I mentioned my advice I should've stated that its mainly for the purpose of pinning someone out of it. Nothing like cranking it over for your 14th point, then stepping over and getting the pin.
