nope, finals aren't until tomorrow
That was his first round match. He just won by fall in 1:11 in his second round match this morning. |

I have no idea how he wasn't stuck as the second period expired. Obviously you can't see the left shoulder, but I wonder how much his reputation played into the ref being slow with the call?
A good example of how good positioning and keeping your hips square to the mat can negate a lot of funk. Hard to believe that kid came in 4th in his district, he looks like a good project kid for a coach like Shawn Nelson at Findlay, or one of the MAC schools. |

I was at the tournament and this match was the most intense match there. He was pinned though, I know for sure he was pinned. Reputation kept him in it. Everyone at Schottenstein knew he was booed off the mat. |

I can't believe he kept going to his back like that!!!!
I just got done watching the match, I had never heard of this kid before, and I happend to watch the interview first. I came over here to post about it but it appears that much more astute posters than I had already gotten on this one.
That match was sick. I would have loved to see the first period. In my opinion, he was on his back so often that you can't fault the kid or the ref for the injury time.
it wasn't like he was on his back right away and then ended up getting the tech fall. HE was on his back like three times, and kept rolling over it. just my tow sense. Watch this match! |

Can't believe this ref didn't call the pin! I was obvious even on the video. The Bowling Green kid got robbed period!!
