How did they get a district that qualifies 5?

I thought Ohsaa did away with that crap when they went to 4 districts that all qualify 4. I've got to go to the ohsaa site and check this out.

Just checked and I was right. Graham gets 13 to the tournament. Only top 4 qualify.

Sorry, I was wrong. It is 4. 215 guy is the only one that was not wrestling for a title at District.

Here is another example of domination at Division III.

Marion Pleasant---- Coach: Doug Short

112,125,130,135,140,145,152,160,171,189,285

I saw that one too. Pleasant, Graham, and St Edward all had dominating performances. Reynoldsburg dominated the central district pretty well too. Reynoldsburg is proof that with a good coach any school can develope a top notch program.

Kind of like that Russian slacker who only took third in the worlds last year.

Its almost unfair for graham to even compete at a district like this or any districts knowing that almost everybody on their team would qualify for state. Just the fact that they had 13 in the finals is impressive by itself!

You really think that this team is that much better than the 2000 St Edward team? They're certainly one of the best ever, and you could say easily the best DII team ever, but easily best ever in state history is up for debate.

I agree that's it's a very impressive performance to put 13 in the finals though. I only question because St Edward comes out of a much tougher district with multiple teams that vie for top 10 spots at the state tournament. The same could be said for the Walsh teams of the 90's. The meat grinder at Mentor was as tough if not tougher than the state tournament in many weights. I'm not sure many teams in Graham's district are really any competition for them.

I miss the days in the late 80's when two if not all three team titles were still up in the air when they wrestled the 3/4 and 1/2 bouts at the same time on Saturday night.

I think that the closest team to match this Graham team would be on of the Walsh teams in the 90's then the Ed's team, but you also have to look at its dominence at the Ironman i think they won it by 40 or 50 some points...I also wish we'd see some closer state title races the only one we can expierence is the battles between Pleasent and Troy Christian at DIII.. who knows maybe we'll see the long shot upset and see Perry upend Ed's this year..not probably but you never know..
