Interesting how many N. England wrestlers go to nowhere PA (Endinboro) and have success. Shunaman was an AA from Mass a few years ago and now they have three NH wrestlers in their starting lineup. Too bad some of the guys couldn't have stay local (i.e. BU) and had the same success.

Their is also a long list of top New England wrestlers hwo have gone to one of the small state schools in PA and done nothing.

Vega is a good choice. I think Hamlin who won his 3rd new england title may end up being the best.. he is headed to lehigh(hope they turn that program around!) He doesnt wrestle much in the off season and i think if they can really get him to put in his time in the offseason and red shirt him a year her could be a qualifier as well. Hes so fast its crazy.

Other new england wrestlers who have left for blair is Rollie Peterkin from Penn who is ranked I believe 8th in the country right now. I also heard last night at the new england finals that meyers from warwick RI who is a freshman that finished 2nd @112 in new england may be blair bound.

Ronnie Tetrault from Ludlow mass is ranked nationally @ 152. He and hamlin are the only 2 new england wrestlers ranked. Trevor Deardon from Salem is a 3x NE champ now, not sure why he isn't ranked but he is a real talent as well. There is a great group of underclassmen in New England right now in my mind. I hope they all reach their potential. It would be nice to be sitting in Iowa the next few years and see the new englands kids making a splash at the college level and tell everyone I coached against them.
