So I just found out that my grandpa is taking me down to Columbus to watch the state tournament. I am going to miss Thursday and Friday of school, but it is worth it, my friends are also coming. :]

I'm so excited.

I remember my first time at the ohio state championships. It was when they were at St John arena and it all became much more real for me (my goal of standing on the podium) when I saw it in person. I'm excited for you. Hopefully one day I'll be watching you on Saturday night at the Schott.

Never been to the Ohio State tourney, but I've been to states in Pa numerous times. If they're anything alike, and my guess is that they are very similar, pay close attention to the semi-final matches. Every wrestler goes into that match knowing that they're one win away from wrestling in the biggest match of their lives. Pretty much every match, both guys are leaving it all on the mat. I consider it the most exciting hour and a half in Pa. wrestling each year. Even more than the finals many times.

103Champ - Now that you've told us that you're getting to go see your first state tournament, you better come back and tell us when you going to be wrestling in it. This was such a cool thread, I may have to make the drive to Columbus to watch you myself.

Thanks guys, I'll tell you how it is. And, I do plan on being in the State Championship next year. Can't wait!
