How about an incredibly talented naturally gifted 3 time state champ who while going for a 4th state title and is being recruited by every big time college coach decides to leave his team and pursue his true dream of becoming a ballet star! Let's watch how his teammates, girlfriend, coaches and parents react to his shocking decision. You can show what happens when he leaves either Iowa/Oklahoma/Ohio/PA and heads to the Big Apple and winds up wrestling bums and petty criminals in back alleys to earn rent money. His wrestler toughness and dedication allows him to overcome all obstacles and he winds up as the premier Ballet dude and earns $500,000 per year. He then starts his own combination Ballet/Wrestling school and is backed by Opra Winfrey and makes millions but he still regrets not having won his 4th state title. Feel free to rework this concept but I think I have something here that will appeal to the majority of the public.

How about a movie based on the life of one of Americas Legends of Wrestling. About his whole life and wrestling from when he started to when he completed his ultimate goal and show all the steps it took to get there all the training...mostly the training and work ethic that will apeal to people. Also the sacrifises and all the decisions they had to make....it shouldn't be negative towards weight cutting it should just focus on the glory aspect and have real wrestling in it. There are many great wrestlers to choose from maybe Dave Shultz or Gable, Smith, Sanderson, Monday, the Petersons brothers, or The Brands brothers, Chertow any great wrestler would be great to base the movie on!!!!!!!

From that moment on I saw a fully dedicated wrestler 12 months out of the year. He would wrestle on a dime. Ofcourse his next goal was states and he master that. As a parent, I know that he grew up a better man because of what wrestling taught him. I just dont think people understand what wrestling is really all about.

That would be a good story, and congratulations to you and your son. Nice to know he learned the best of wrestling.

That is a unique idea- definitely would be acceptable to more of a general audience than a completely "wrestling" story.

Reece, Hodge, the Gold Medal Winner from Kansas, Mehringer, or Kyle Maynard, all of the above interesting fun stories on real people. Also could do one on our 72 Olympic Team.

This one seems to have movie script written all over it, and also as Schottke says acceptable to more of a general audience because wrestling is only the vehicle through which friendships, integrity, perseverance and personal "victory" come out. Great story...
