I would make it about a wrestler who's a junior that was never all that great but realizes that he hasn't accomplished anything his life. So he dedicates the next year of his life to wrestling and trains like an animal to become a state champ

I'd make a light-hearted documentary about wrestlers and food and eating. I think wrestling has made my boys and their teammates so preoccupied about eating. My son and his friends think about a certain food all week and as soon as they don't have to weigh in for another week, they'll be at the store. One week they made home-made ice cream. Another week it was Johnsonville brats. It's a great thing when your 17 year old and his friends think a good Saturday night is cooking brats and watching the Food Channel for 3 hours.

make it about Boys Town high school in omaha, nebraska. they take in alot of boys that havent wrestled before coming to BT and make them into state champions and college wrestlers. Make up a fictonal character profile his life and how he gets into trouble in court chooses boys town over juvie and the wrestling coach comes up and asks him to be on the team. he joins not knowing anything and with a bad attitude then gradually changes his attitude becomes a good wrestler, with it grades become good, and behavior goes goes to state one time as a underdog tough kid that suprises everyone and wins a state championship.

I would like to see a wrestling story for a general audience. Here is my suggestion:
Boy meets girl at a party and it is love at first sight. Over the summer they get to know each other better. They live on opposite sides of a large city. She has just moved in from out of state. Both have one year of high school left. The boy is a very good wrestler for the small state he lives in and hopes to finally go to the state finals. The girl says she has done a bit of high school wrestling. As they are both the same weight, they do some practicing together in the summer. She doesn't want to threaten his ego, so she pretends to be not as good on the mat as she really is. It turns out she is from a state with better wrestling and she is slightly better than he is. During the season both do well. In the regionals, they meet for the first time in a match. The winner goes on to state and loser goes home. She is the favorite. She must win by a pin for her team to win the title. She worries that if she wins, especially by a pin, he will be so humiliated that it will break up their relationship. Will she deliberately lose and then they can get married and live happily ever after? Will she keep it close and win by decision, thereby leaving him a bit of self-respect but let down her teammates? Will she totally dominate him for 5 minutes and then pin him anyway just to prove to him how good she is? But maybe he will respect her ability and they will still get married. Maybe. Many possible endings.
