The other thing that's interesting about WV having that ranking from Wrestling USA is that WV is a relatively young high school. Has it been around more than 30 years? |
Unfortunatley yes, one of them, (not mentioning names) is still in jail. It was a terrible tradgedy all around and he isn't going to come out anytime soon. All the brothers were impressive on the mat, and even with the exception (poor choice of words, "exception", but what else can one say. we all make mistakes, some worse than others), a great group of guys. I still run into them on occasion when I'm back in town.
They all came from the East side of Aurora and I hate to think what East High (go tomcats), would have been like had they not moved into Dist. 204.
WV has been around for longer than 30 years, but not a whole lot longer, It was started in the 70's and enjoyed a rather large growth spurt when that area grew. I graduated with something like over 1000 kids. At the time, it was a great option compared to East (some would consider it the rough side of town) and we got a lot of talent from both Aurora and Naperville, which lead to that ranking. Now the "place to be" is Nequa Valley (bastard naperville rich scum

) or Montini. You get either Reutiger and awesome facilities or the Bronco tradition.
Speaking of IL Highschools, were you at Mizzou when Brad Lynde was there? I always wondered what became of him.
