Thread: 2009 National Wrestling Team Rankings

News 2009 National Wrestling Team Rankings

The HSWrestling.Net 2009 National High School Team Rankings as well as the 2009 National Champion can be found below. After a ridiculous state tournament performance by Apple Valley & St. Paris Graham we had a very tough time picking our true number one. After much deliberation amongst our staffers here at HSWrestling we came to the conclusion that Apple Valley would likely hold off both Blair & St. Paris in a dual this season. We don’t expect to hear good things about the mythical 2009 national champions from the folks in Ohio, PA, or NJ who all had great candidates, however, we strongly believe in our selection of Apple Valley as the #1 team in the nation.

eh...this list is about as worthless as the BCS. It's all opinion. Until the best 10 - 12 teams in the country are put in a head to head Dual, it's all hersey

So... who would pick the best 10-12? Wouldn't the team that is selected as #13 feel slighted by "opinion", too?

If the number one team isn't correct, the rest is moot.

This list is a crock. Blair is #1 and Graham is #2.

Not really, by the time you hit 10 or 12...it's a reach anyways.

I agree that Blair should be #1 and St. Graham is #2, followed by Central Dauphin and then Apple.

I can't believe Shady Side Academy isn't even on the list.

One would think that if team A beat Team B when both were at full strength, then A would be ranked higher, No ?

Well then why would you rank Long Branch no. 34, behind No. 31 High Point, when on the mat Long Branch walked away with the win.

Right there, the authors of this list of teams lost all credibility.

hah, I agree that av should be #2 or 3... Blair is the only definite winner. StP and any other public school would have a rough go with the av team this year.
