Just saw this interview on flo, TWT can't link to Flo so go to the main page and add /videos/speaker/2714-mike-soria to the end of the address. Anyone ever hear of this happening before? Last edited by Schlottke; 02-27-2009 at 08:15 PM. |

they probably go to the same school, but i dont know what weight they are but one probably wrestles 40 and the other 45 or something (examples) but then for tournements that have jv spots the one in 45 probably drops down to wrestle at an easier weight had the same situation, 2 varsity level wrestlers that were both 40 pounders, they would alternate one going to 40 and the other to 45 but for tourny's with jv spots they would both wrestle the same weight |

The twins wrestle the same weight, they flipped a coin to see who got to go to the semi's. One of them took 1st and the other 1 took 3rd. they should have been on diff sides of the bracket. You can have more then one kid per weight wrestle at our section tournament and go to state but only the higher placers points count. You also have to place in the section qualifier to get into the section tournament.

Looks like one brother forefitted to the other, he took 1st and the other took 3rd. These guys actually go to the same school, I've never heard of this. Do other states do this? Never heard of having multiple entries at the same weight for a school at the state tournament... Edit- DBOZZZ posted while I was making my post, thanks for the info. |

New York State has a wild card entry and you earn power points but have to at least place in top 3 of your section to be eligible for a wild card selection. There are 4 wild cards to fill a 16 man bracket. New York State also has the 2 Division States (Large and Small School). Just because they are twin brothers doesn't matter because the wild cards are drawen into the bracket. That's the chance you take.
