Joe Lospinoso, Brearley High, did not attend Friday's weigh-ins due to his father having gall-bladder surgery. Lospinoso was second in the state at 130 in 2007 and is also ranked nationally. He's a junior so he'll get another shot in '10. His brother, a sure shot to make the state tournament also missed the weigh-in.

Joey Granger a Junior and state runner-up in Va the year before failed to make wieght at Districts.
Bubba Jenkins didn't make weight his senior year for the regional tourny and therefore didn't make it to states either.

It happened at the Iowa State tournament last week. Defending Champion, Tanner Schmidt from Charles City, was upset in the quarterfinals and didn't make weight for his consolation match. He was disqualified from the tournament.
