Thread: Isn't this technically considered attempt of 3rd degree murder?

Default Isn't this technically considered attempt of 3rd degree murder?

So my wrestling season is over now (freshmen yr in highschool) so I've been going to the Jr high to help out kind of. But My ex-varsity(we'll refer to him as "bully") (smashed his knee at first meet of the year and was out entire rest of season,so he picked up a coaching job at the jr high) coaches at the jr. high, and throughout the years I've known him, he's always been a dick to me. I will be getting choked, begging for him to let go, yet he only squeezes harder until I'm literally near death. But tonight, I was at the Jr high, and he went too far...I was wreslting a senior who was good friends with this guy, and this senior called this guy over and they took my headgear off and the bully started folding and wrinkling my ear so I would get cauliflower ear. Then the first senior got off and handed me over to the bully, who then got my in a half nelson that was so tight,I literally felt my face numbing from lack of blood. After about 3 minutes of this, he squeezed me so hard (after minutes of pleading for him to stop) that I almost went unconsious. And this sounds like an exageration or something like that, but I swear to you, I could have sworn he 110% meant to end my life right there, and just tell the coaches it was an accidnet, as if I hadn't "tapped out in time". The only reason I got out was because I screamed so loud that the coaches looked over.
Everything I told was EXACTLY how it happened, and I swear that I did nothing at all EVER IN MY LIFE to provoke this...In fact, the highschool coach says he doesn't want us to ever wrestle (but that coach wasn't there tonight, so....).....based off of what I have told you, "off the record", does this sound like a 3rd degree attempt for murder? What would you do?

If the situation is exactly as you described, I would go to the athletic director and tell him the story. A guy like this shouldn't be associated with any team. If you don't get anywhere with him, go to the Jr. High Principal, and if you still don't get satisfaction, write a letter to the Board of Education and Superintendant of Schools. In any case, it will help if you have a witness to corroborate your story. Realize that if you take these actions, the guy probably will escalate his assaults and you may have to go to the police for a restraiing order.

If I were you, I would stand up for myself. If you cant you need to become friends with the toughest guy in town and hope he never leaves your side. You should never let someone bully you, ever. They will never stop unless you do something about it.

Disclaimer, I am not saying you have to hurt the guy.

What if that guy is the toughest guy in town?

Probably isn't, though. Really tough guys don't have to prove anything by being bullies.

    good points Spider.

If he is the toughest guy in town, move.

Like you said he most likely isn't. He sounds like an insecure punk who gains self esteem and self reassurance through bullying others. In reality he would crumble if the same bullying happened to him.

If you feel seriously threatened, call the police. You might want to tell your coach first just so he doesn't feel betrayed, but don't let him talk you out of it if you really feel threatened and that it won't stop otherwise. After the police show up, he will think real hard about bullying you again.

I agree with the others, confront the situation. Bring it to the attention of authority and stand up for yourself.

But if it had been me, I would have punched him in the nads and called it a day.

Haha, well see,he IS the top dog in town.he was ranked 4th here in Illinois before he smashed his knee, but he's just a dick because the highschool coach, the bully, and also me,all know that i'm going to rise up and be better than the bully was by the time im a senior...The coach is always saying that I'm going to be just as good, if not better, than this bully (except for the bullying part)....So in a way, he's kind of telling me to not get any ideas that I'm better than him, whichc I accepted a loooooong time ago,but he's just too ignorant to understand that yet.....PS, i talked to my coach today and he's pissed as hell...
