my season ended tonight with a disappointing "loss" i finished my sophomore heavyweight season 8-10 a great improvement from my freshman year 0-16 Today i had a tourny for catholic league and i won my way into the semifinals. lost and then went on to win agin to wrestle for third. third place match was against a guy who was obviously better than me until i had him pinned after 15 seconds into the match BUT the refs said i was out of bounds and didnt count it as a pin even though my entire lower body was inside and off the mat I feel like i was robbed of my medal, but im definatly pumped for next season i will wrestle varsity heavyweight so i will seek my revenge then. |

Hate to say it but it doesn't matter about your 'lower body,' if the "points of contact" with the mat aren't in then it doesn't count. But hey, all you need to know is that you had him pinned. And the ref is stupid. Always gets me through a disappointing loss.

Freshman JV: 4-18 Freshman Varsity: 0-1 Sophomore JV: 8-3 Sophomore Varsity: 5-10 I'm no state champ yet but I've improved from my freshman year for sure. I've been pinned twice this whole season but of course that isn't an amazing accomplishment to have when it comes to qualifying for state. I'm looking to become the best I can be my junior and senior years. I had to work my ass off 9-10 grade summer to just get to where I am now. |
