I wonder if the Dapper Dan folks would approve that. I'm guessing they wouldn't like it, fearing a precedent being set, but who knows.

Somebody on the "other" board said something similar almost happened in the 1990's with a Georgia state champion (Chris Rodrigues) wanting to wrestle two PA state champs, one at the beginning and one at the end, but he pulled out after the first match because he aggravated an injury (he lost that match 3-2.)

I was thinking about Metcalf and Schlatter, but both ended up going to seniors and getting it on.

I'm not quite confortable with the, almost, beligerent attitude of Grajales. He sounds as if he believes that he was "called out", when, of course, he wasn't. Commentators put that title to Taylor's words, and I think unfairly.

I think he just wants the match as badly as Taylor does, I don't think he want to fight him.

    Badly?

I think either would look forward to it, but I don't see the word "badly" fitting, unless, of course, one felt they were called out. In that case, I could see wanting it "badly".

Hey, maybe Taylor was calling him out, in a subtle fashion.

Is there bad blood there? They have had to have crossed paths in their long careers.

Thats what I read into it too, nothing "belligerent" whatsoever. I loved the line about wanting to do it at the Dapper, in the corner of a gym, anywhere.

I think there's a video on youtube that purports to be Taylor putting a whooping on Grajales 5 years ago or so, but there are people claiming that is not them on the video comments. I definitely got the impression that Taylor was calling Eric out, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
