Thread: Help, I was signed up for a Varsity Tournament!

Default Help, I was signed up for a Varsity Tournament!

This is my first year wrestling and I go to school in northern new jersey. I'm doing alright, but certainly am not varsity quality yet, but apparently my team is a little small and my coach wants me to do 170s varsity.

Any advice as to some moves that can end a match quickly, (basically surpise the heck out of my opponent)? Or any way I can just hang in for 3 rounds, and wear my opponent down, because I really only know the basics and even now am still trying to work on those.

    thanks

some good moves are the fireman's pick up and bone on bone (shoulder to shin)
the fireman's isnt too hard to do and if your fast enough you can surprise your opponent
the bone on bone is simple: push his head down and as he resists and comes up dive at a leg with your shoulder to his shin.....this move is makes it hard for your opponent to sprawl

So that is what the move is called? I always knew the move but not the name (bone on bone). What are other terms that it has?

Hey are you by any chance going to the Bayonne tournament? Because we are holding one this weekend and I'm curious if that is the tournament you are talking about.

It isn't. This one you drop whole body forwards to your opponent, grab his foot, and drive with your shoulder on his front shin.

Lets stop discussing it here. =/
