Please watch this video from roughly 13:40 to the end (although it is a decent and competitive match if you want to watch the whole thing). At 13:40, it is the final o.t. period in a match that the wrestler in dark blue is winning by a point (having escaped in the previous period) The final period thus begins with the blue wrestler in the top position and the black wrestler needing at least an escape.

This match ends in a controversial last second reversal call that gives the wrestler in black a one point victory. But, I'm not entirely sure this was the correct call as I don't see full control established. What I am sure of is that this appears to be a very, very difficult call to make. It is also interesting to watch the assistant ref, who seems to indicate that the black wrestler has gained control far before the end of the period. Thoughts, partic. from refs on the forum.

The kid definitely met reversal criteria on that video. The question I have(that you can't really tell from the match) is when the time hit 0:00. That would answer the question more definitively.

I think the ref was right on top of the time and his whistle comes RIGHT at the moment the towel hits him. You can clearly see it in the video.

A lot of parents and section 11 (long Island) fans are calling b.s. on the reffing job. You would figure that two refs could get it right though.

I've never known Long Island wrestling fans to be opinionated...
