Kenny Monday vs. Mike Bell

Bell was really dominant in PA his senior year, but Monday had way too much for him in the neutral position. I actually attended this match, which makes me feel OLD.

FWIW, I like the old unis much better than the freaksuits they make the DD wrestlers wear now.

I was matside the next year when Monday lost a quarterfinal match to the unseeded fifth year senior from PSU, Bernie Fritz, to send Fritz into the semi's and clinch Bernie's only AA year. Having known the Fritz family since 1969, it was great to see Bernie finally achieve that goal. Fritz ducked him, I believe 4 times, to send Monday to the consi's.
