Re: Morning Runs
we run for 20 mins and then some sprints at the end. do this like 8 times in the beginning of the season. have to get up at 5 something. It's just tiring and pointless considering all the running we do. If we spent the time actually training and working moves we would be more successful.

How stupid of me!
And I thought that this thread was going to be a comparison of your favorite local Mexican restaurants!

Re: Morning Runs
This is a really great idea, unfortunately our school doesn't have showers that are usable. The benefits of running in the morning, though, are great. There isn't glycogen in your body, so you burn fat right away for energy. Also, it energizes you for the rest of the day, and ensures you go to bed early
I did this during the spring and summer to train for wrestilng, along with track and cross country.

Re: Morning Runs
Being an actual high school wrestler, I hate this and we dont have them anymore. I understand the extra conditioning and teambuilding stuff, but frankly high schoolers need the sleep more. Anyway, I go to a boarding school, I live there, I can train after practice for the extra thirty minutes and feel much better. I know this isnt an option for most though.

running sprints in the morning
