I was looking for any advice, tips, or hints that will help me get to the top. I'm determined to become a great wrestler.
Any ideas on my weight and what I should do with it?
Also, any workout plans or tips that you can offer up?
Thanks, appreciate any help I can get.
Pinned,
1: Change your handle. Make it something more dominant sounding like "Pinner" "The Pinner" "Bone Crusher"
2: listen to your coaches, ask questions, watch video, absorb as much knowledge as you can
3: spend as much time on a mat as possible
4: wrestle anyone around you that won't hurt you
5: don't get frustrated, we all have taken our lumps. Even Olympians were first year wrestlers (expect maybe Cael ;^)
6: start lifting hard
7: watch what you eat
8: go to camp
9: get in great physical shape - run in the mornign before school, take the extra step
10: get the support of your parents, bring them to a meet, introduce them to your coaches, let them know how much you like the sport.
11: keep your grades up so your folks don't take away wrestling as punishment
12: when you are a senior and someone suggests you find a job, know you will have plenty of time to get a job (you will work the rest of your life), but you will never have a chance to wrestle again
13: have fun!
14: develop your own style
15: wrestle wrestler wrestle...anyone, everyone.
