well this was my first year wrestling, it was varsity heavyweight, i was able to catch a lot of my opponents off guard by shooting, but i know its really sloppy and would appreciate and advice.

That is nice for your first year. Your weight class didn't look like the heavyweight class to me. Whats your weight?

Also you should level-change, I didn't see that in any of your takedown "shots". They didn't really look like shots to me, you just reached over for the leg and got the take down. Your opponents didn't look good for varsity players. If you played someone more experienced he would of punished you for your attempt. Level change.

Also what year are you at in highschool?

During most of that year i was between 240-235, that was my junior year, i started late, I am in my senior year now, and have been working hard, and thankyou for the advice, i will focus on that next week and the rest of my practices this season

EDIT** sorry i messed up when i put in my description that was my second season of wrestling, first year on varsity, i had about 11 matches the year before, my sophomore year, on jv

heh i started 9th grade-kind of late. i don't have youth programs or competition in my area.

you're better than i was after two years of wrestling

i find what has helped me the most was caring about every move every single time i drilled it. every time i hit it, i had to think what did i do right, what did i do wrong, and how can i still make it better.
