Felipe looked pretty out of shape, lacked his usual explosiveness, and looked like he should probably drop down a weight class. He's never seemed lethargic at all to me before, but that's what he looked like in this match.

Yeah actually I re-watched the matches with Felipe and he just did not look like himself. Maybe it's an injury, moving away from SPG, conditioning, problem at home, etc., but he does not look like the same kid anymore. Of course, it's preseason, so of course not everyone's at 100%, but still. I don't know if they posted the match up on Flo, but he lost 6-3 in the bout for 3rd/4th place. Did not seem like the explosive, passionate wrestler he was before.
As far as the finals were concerned; great matches. Lots of OTs, lots of action. Jeske vs Raley was a good match, but Jeske seemed to have an injury that was bothering him (had a hard time walking back to the center of the mat, had to take injury time, etc.). I think that might've hampered his ability to wrestle at 100%, but all the power to Raley.
Dance hit an absolutely nasty superduck on Kraisser; wouldn't be surprised to see it come up as Dirty Flo Takedown this week. Cruz vs Tomasello (I believe that's how it's spelled) was a nice OT match too; great hips by Cruz to win it. Great tournament overall IMO.

The kid who beat Massa is no fluke. See him @ POST #7 in this link:

Cody Wiercioch won the PIAA 152 AA title last year as a FRESHMAN & the Powerade tournament as well.In the video it looked like Massa thought he could just muscle Wiercioch with that strangler hold but the 3rd time he tried it Wiercioch caught on &muscled his way to victory.
I remember watching Wiercoch at PA states last year and thought he couldnt be anything but special winning how he did at his age. He looks like 22 though, lol.
Go Hawkeyes.

Super32 Final Recap | OpenMat News
Kraisser wrestled a good match to beat Dance. Fun final to watch - I think Dance could've gotten the rideout had he not decided to throw in the legs and get too high, he's always seemed pretty proficient with a claw ride. Yeah, definitely not saying it was a mistake that Wiercoch beat Massa - he deserved every point of that match he got (though I think Massa probably should've received a point for fleeing the mat).
Wildmo's win over Tsirtsis was no fluke for sure - technically sound and seemed to have a bigger tank than Tsirtsis did that match.
