Thread: Where do you look with your eyes?

Default Where do you look with your eyes?

When you're in neutral position, do your eyes look at his chest, face, shoes, or what? I tend to look at the shoes. Do you guys think that affects my head positioning? Or does it really not matter at all? My head gets pushed down quite a bit but I'm not sure if that's normal or is it because I'm looking at their feet?

The hips. He goes where they go. But always keep your head up.

I agree with Spider, he can't go anywhere without his hips, and keep your head up or you'll end up eating the mat.

Head up and eyes on the hips.

Just remember not to depend too much on what you see. Control position so that you know he can only do certain techniques and you have less to watch for while you're setting up your attacks.

Also, you don't always want to watch his hips. Keep an eye on his foot position and stance to know when certain techniques will be used (this works especially well when scouting)
