Too bad Ohio has that rule about only one event in a non-contiguous state per season. Most of the top teams go to the beast for their one. I'd love to see how Eds, Graham, Moeller and some others would do against some of the teams west of here in states they don't face at Ironman or Beast. Heck of a line-up there. Wish I could go. Dual tourneys are my personal favorite as a spectator when I don't have a horse in the field.

In case anyone has missed the final line-up for Clash 6 - Here it is. I cut-n-paste the list from one guy's ranking on the Guillotine forum. Utilmately they will be ranked and seeded by national sportswriters. I don't necessarily agree with the order, but I thought it would be interesting to post nonetheless.

*sigh* It embarasses me that Owatonna isn't in it. They will be in Wellington Florida...they better be facing a nationally ranked team...

There are a few reasons why they are not participating this year -- they certainly would have been welcome. However, we encourage Minnesota teams (who aren't nationally ranked) to take a year or two off occasionally every few years. We like to be able to rotate new schools in and it's tough to do that when every school wants back in every year.

We've found that the coaches, wrestlers, and fans are more energized when it's a somewhat of a "new" event for them. Owatonna and STMA are both top notch Minnesota programs taking advantage of a year off. They'll be back.

Good, i hope so. I know they were down the past couple of years but their young wrestlers looked good. I noticed a lot of the good wrestling teams have a few down years after some real good ones, unless your one of those few powerhouses that are nationally ranked in the top 10 every year. Hopefully though this trip to Florida has some decent teams because if it doesn't they could have just went to Iowa or some other state in the mid west that had good wrestling...

Here's are the rankings of each weight. I couldn't find rankings for Georgia, Utah, or Hawaii(if someone can find them, I'd appreciate it). Also, the Minnesota rankings are from December 7th (pre Christmas tournament), so some of the weights don't reflect which weights people will actually be at. There are 35 wrestlers ranked #1 at their weight (6 at 125).
