One of the greatest lanky wrestlers of all time is Olympic Gold Medalist Ben Peterson. He was trained and mentored by Hall of Fame Coach Les Anderson at Iowa State.

I'd definitely say work on Cradles and Leg Rides.

When I was wrestling, I was 6' 135-145 and I was definitely able to dominate the competition using almost solely leg-riding and cradles (Among a few other top moves). At that height/weight I know most of the competition is going to be short/stocky and they tended to be the easier matches.

I heavily practiced cradles and leg-riding my Junior year and Senior year and it dropped my losses to a combined 4 for both years from 21 the previous 2. Though I'd say leg-riding was the most helpful, I didn't pick it up till after my sophomore year and it took me from Participant to 4th and then 1st at state. So I imagine if you execute them right they could help as well.
