    Post Bouncing back..

    I haven't wrestled since March 13th at the California Frosh/Soph state championships. I haven't been practicing or working out or anything. I've also been going to physical therapy for patella femoral dysfunction. I was wondering if anyone had any tips to get into shape for wrestling season. I know it is a long way off, but I want to be in better shape than this past season. If it helps, my physical therapist doesn't want me to run stairs, do squats, or leg extensions(on a machine). Any tips?

    Very few of my wrestlers come into the room with adequate grip strength or trunk strength. Since you can't work on you legs, here is a great opportunity to build what I think is the core to wrestling success.

    work on your upper body

    Interval training 3 times a week.(youtube it) You will be in great shape if you push yourself.
