You might want to try a whey shake if you want something more then a bar. Oh and if you can eat your protein after you workout! You have a 30 minute window to really make it count, after that it's good, just not way not as effective.
If you want a real lunch try tuna.
I eat tuna, a plum, and yogurt. That gives me enough fuel for a hard session during the period and after, plus more.
Drink plenty of water like Billy said.
