is it hard? probably the hardest thing you'll ever do.

yes, there are most definitely girls leagues. In season, there are often girls teams and boys teams though usually the two mix. However, in the off-season, there are many tournaments in which girls can attend where they only wrestle other girls. Then they have women's nationals as well.

I am a female wrestler, and I definitely encourage you to go out for the team. Wrestling was one of the best experiences of my life. Especially if you have the opportunity to be on a team of all girls, you should definitely take advantage of your situation since in most states, girls just have to wrestle with the boys.

Wrestling is both physically and mentally challenging, but it is definitely worth it!

If you have any questions about female wrestling, let me know since I competed on the women's wrestling circuit for 11 years. My email is if you'd like to email me directly, or feel free to message me on here.
thanks!! its nice to know a female wrestler cuz most girls at my school think wrestling is a manly sport...ahaha. i actually live in california but im from hawaii.

What part of Cali are you in? I used to assistant coach the women's wrestling team at Menlo College in Atherton.

Cali is a hotbed for women's wrestling! There are great women's teams and clubs in both Northern and Southern California.

If you haven't visited www.californiawomenswrestling.com yet, visit the site and the front page has a list of girls' only tournaments. CA has its own girls' sectionals and girls' states so there are ample competition opportunities for female wrestlers.
