Hey guys I was wondering if drinking protein shakes during my next season is a good idea or not. I've heard things like it makes it hard for you to cut weight and stuff like that. So what are your opinions? |

I say it's fine to if you are under. And if you need to cut remember its also used for a meal replacer. So take it instead of Breakfast, lunch, dinner, whatever. Whey protein helps out with replenishing your body after a tough workout so of course you want to take it to build up for the next day so you can go even harder. If you are worried about calories and all that stuff there are a lot of wheys that have that specifically for your needs. Good luck on choosing which whey you are going to pick. I personally love Optimum nutrition because it tastes great! Hope I could help. Later. -Brad |

If you're worried about cutting, use Skim milk. Here is a recipe that I use to make them taste great, and help your cutting cycles. One cup of skim milk half a cup of orange juice half a cup of mixed berries two scoops of Whey Protein Banana flavor. I have one for breakfast, and one before bed. My mid meal protein shake is a just the milk and protein. If you really want to get the most out of your calorie counting, workouts, etc...go to fitday.com. It's a journal site where you can track everything. |
