i disagree. i have worked a hundred camps and been to just as many. most kids will forget 99% of what is shown. i think it is more beneficial to show kids 10-15 different positions (not moves) in a camp and how to win from those positions. each position a different instructor has a different series. i get a laugh watching these kids teach at jrob camps, showing first a stand up, drill it for 1 minute, comeback and teach a double, drill for a minute, then a sit out. it does nothing for kids except blind them with a vast array of generalized motions to keep them occupied while the guy putting on the camp takes the money to the bank.

That is why you need full time expert coaches on a daily basis to keep teaching you these moves week after week.

Very, very, very true. Which is why I do not send my kids to camps. I do the hard work of getting the latest and greatest technique and show it within our system. Camps are great fun, but hardly worth the dollars that could be spent on, say, going to a regional.
