So Zeke Jones lost to a North Korean at 1992 Olympics? Ha Ha Ha
Was getting rid of small weight classes an action of the West to eliminate North Korea from medal contention?

yeah he got hammered. It was a good ol' fashioned beating.
not sure. They did suffer though. They seemed to churn out world champ after the next in those 2 weight classes. Was getting rid of small weight classes an action of the West to eliminate North Korea from medal contention?
Not sure about Worlds but it seems to me in both 92 and 96 Olympics there were as many countries represented in those two small weight classes as in any other weight class. Cutting those two weight classes seems like a nightmare for small wrestlers.
yeah I think so. I really enjoyed watching those guys. Just about every match was exciting.
I wish they had the lighter classes and they should bring back the unlimited heavy class.
they say people are getting bigger (reasons for eliminating the lighter classes - lack of competition), yet they keep shrinking the Super HVY class. I don't get it.
That is a bunch of crap! This year at Yarigin tourney Russia had more wrestlers at 50kg than at 96 and 120.

Yeah, Unlimited HWT would be great. I would wrestle in almost every tournament (As long as I could afford the trip).
A country like Mexico or Vietnam probably has millions of 105 pounders.
you must have missed the argument I got into last year with Diego about this topic. The thread was like 10 pages.
I wish I would have saved it.
Intersting, that sites does prove that I am full of shit.
I got 6 of 18, but got three of the five Koreans. I thought I would be able to get all the Koreans. Japanese and Chinese do look the same to me.
Either way, I still would put money that Travis' enthincity is Chinese
Japanese, Koreans, and Chinese do have distinctive characterisitcs. The problem is that sometimes a Korean will look like a Chinese or a Japanese will look like either a Korean or a Chinese. so, you can fool anyone with some exceptions.
Some characterisitcs: Koreans generally have more oval heads whereas Chinese have round heads and really narrow eyes. Japanese have round heads but their eyes are not as narrow as those of Chinese.
Also, Chinese and Koreans have really flat-like faces whereas Japanese have more round faces
