How come Muz Abdurakmanov did not compete in the US nationals or world team trials? Is he a US citizen? Could he compete for Uzbekestan?

He is not a US citizen and Uzbekistan has an excellent 163 pound guy who I believe used to wrestle for Russia and placed 3rd in last years Worlds.
