If i was a betting man on who has the best shot at gold for team USA in freestyle, I would say cejudo or mocco

schwab only has a HC, he's not a great scrambler, and he's not tough on top. however, zadick won a world championship with a HC. i think for schwab to come home with a medal, he's going to have to 'win' a bunch of coin flips. --- also, there is no way he'll beat garzon, no way at all.

I agree with that. I think Mocco has a legitmate shot. He's got a style that will do wonders in international competition. All the things that American's bitch about in Folkstyle wrestling are the things that win over seas.

IMHO, American's tend to do well their first go on the international scene because most countries don't have the ability to scout them. It will be interesting to see what happens as there is so much footage on Mocco.

Quick, I think we will see Saitiev win too, but I think that of all of them, Askren has the best chance of beating Saitiev. Not because he is better, far from it actually. But because I think Askren will turn it on for him. I think that will be the best match of the tourney. Knowing and reading about Saitiev and the same with Askren. That will be a hyped match.

I watched some film earlier today, and I've sort of realigned my stance on Aldotov. I think that will be closer than it looks. Match is the first time I'd seen Chamsul, Chamsul, Chamsul not gonna work her anymore. 74 KG is going to be rediculous.

This is that match for those who'd like to see it.

Alatov wrestled like crap there. HE had already lost to Murtazaliev.

    Here's another match:

Ibragim Aldatov v. Chamsulvara Chamsulvaraev 2006 Super Cup

You've shown me lots of Aldotov before. Thats why I think that Askren would have a hard time with him. You're right, my example was a bad one.

Chama/Aldatov/Saitiev/Askren, any of those against each other would be pretty fun. I'll predict Saitiev over Chama in the finals. Aldatov could win as well but he needs to work on his defence.

At 66 Farniev/Garzon/Shahin/Ukranian (forgot his name) all have pretty exciting matches, will be fun to watch them go at it.

I'd say Mocco has a good chance against anybody.

Watch for Jokar from Iran too at 74kg. He pinned Chamsulvaraev on his way to winning the Aliev Cup this year.
