Thread: Ketoev's single

    Default Ketoev's single

I have been watching a lot of Ketoevs wrestling lately and I can not help but notice that his single leg is a killer, but whats got me stumped is how does he set it up? It looks like to me that he just reaches in and takes it but maybe I am wrong, what does anyone else think about this unique attack?

He does reach for it. He just uses the momentum well. He often gets it from an underhook as well. Its just his inner feeling for the move that he has drilled and tried so many times. Its like John Smith low single. He is very predictable but very effective still.

If I'm thinking of the right guy, he does a lot of upper body shucks from an underhook, kind of throws the arm by and then snatches the leg.

He is very one sided in his attacks too. If you watch his European match against Temresov this year he keeps going for that single many times even though it wasn't working.

    exactly Big!!

Its just his inner feeling for the move!!!

Sometimes there isnt even a set up. He does the same thing all the time, even if it doestn work and his opponent knows he wants to grab the front leg.

    Thats just expertise.

the snatch single is also a very low risk move. If you miss- oh well. You can just do it again.

At Russian nationals Ketoev actually didn't go for the single that much. His main attack was an underhook to an upper body lock or throw. Its like he is so much more powerful than other wrestlers. If anybody could be accused of taking something it would certainly be him.
