To read the freestyle preview, the Greco-Roman preview, or see the brackets, go to www.RevWrestling.com Freestyle Preview The U.S. Freestyle Team is hoping to rebound from a disappointing 2007 World Championships at the 2008 Olympic Games. But who will represent that team in Beijing? The field at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials will include several past World and Olympic medalists, like 2007 World bronze medalist Daniel Cormier (pictured), and many young, rising stars. RevWrestling.com provides a weight-by-weight breakdown with predictions of this weekend's U.S. Olympic Team Trials in freestyle (Photo/Tech-Fall.com).

Forgive me for I am not familiar with international rules.. What does it mean to not qualify the 60kg weight class for the Olympics? (i.e. no representation for this weight at the games?) How do you qualify a weight class? I know wrestlers competed at events to qualify for the Olympics at a weight class but I had no idea the weight class had to qualify??..

each country has to qualify each of the 7 weights at the world championships or other qualification tournaments, in order to be able to send a representative to bejing. US qualified all weights except 60 kg, so regardless who wins 60 kg - they still dont get to go to the olympics.
