I could be wrong here but I think Big's post was more a reflection on Slay and calling him out on his bullshit and not really meant to disrespect Gruenwald. If Jesus helped Slay get the Gold than why didn't he help someone like Jim, for example, who is equally devout.

Feel free to lock this one as well but just wanted to post my opinion.

When I read Big's post my first thought was that it was disrespectful to mr. Gruenwald, especially since he got hurt at his Olympic qualifier. However, I can't read Big's mind and perhaps q_s is right. Brandon Slay can be over-the-top from what I hear.

No problem. I mean, the guy Gruenwald lost to is Muslim and ended up qualifying for Olympics. At least Jesus could make him fail the drug test or something.

Sometimes I wonder what Brandon Slay's exact reasoning is... presumably he thinks God gave him the strength and talent to beat all those other guys, but what's up with Leipold? Does he think God injected Leipold's urine with steriods? God alerted the testers to Leipold's cheating? The whole thing could have been easier if God had just let Slay win that final match outright

No I don't think Slay actually thinks Gold made Leipold test positive. But one can infer that from reading Slay's articles and quotes. It's more making fun of Slay than anything else.

I don't even think he gives Leipold much thought. Slay is using the fact that he now has a Gold medal as part of his marketing ploy. Nothing more. He's as low as the televangelists you see on tv.

Gold medal as a marketing ploy that he is not a fake. That he achieved something big with Jesus' help.
