First round was a terrible call on a misthrow with 20 seconds left, which led to a second round with Guivi getting a near fall on a throw. I would also like to state that Saeed followed his game plan very well " DO NOTHING " as he didn't have an offensive chances to score. The third round was decided when Guivi, not wanting to wrestle to clinch attempted a throw with little time left and got caught.

It was not a good match for either wrestler, and should Saeed wrestle like this in the Olympics I doubt he will make it throught the first round.

    Too bad.
    Sounds like he still won.

He knows his time has come, he wanted to give the young guys a chance to compete and get experience. He still loves wrestling, and is enjoying training without competing.

Just seems odd that he retired right before the Olympics... he was the #1 seed at the trials and was pretty close to knocking off the eventual champion at the World's the year before.

Yes Mischa is very good and has beaten Pineda before, but I feel the real loss with 55kg was Jamie macari, he beat mischa last year without even training an has beaten mischa twice before. I do not know why jamie retired but he had soo much potential, especially since he was only around 25 years of age!

Jamie was a great wrestler. I was told he retired due to injury, he was just getting hurt too much. Won the Canadian sr. Nationals last year and didn't go to Worlds.
