Do we know if there is film from the Asian Championships in Jeju Island (Korea)?
4 years ago I asked the chief of the fila video crew to make for me copies from some Asian matches I wanted to see. He said fila wasn't responsible for the video tapes/reviews at Asian championships. I don't think this has changed, so I suppose there is no video from Jeju.
good day for Iran and Bulgaria !
55:
1- Radoslav Velikov (BUL)
2- Kim Hyo-Sub (KOR)
3- Namik Sevdimov (AZE), Abbas Dabbaghi (IRI)
66:
1- Mehdi Taghavi (IRI)
2- Serafim Barzakov (BUL)
3- Albert Batirov (BLR), Suren Markosyan (ARM)
---------------------
Excellent day for two iranian young wrestlers :
Dabbaghi beat Tulbea and Kartanov in his bronze way.
also Taghavi ! he beat Batirov and Barzakov and got Gold ! who can believe !
and after 11 years an iranian beat Barzakov !!
Barzakov against Iranians:
1997 Krasnoyarsk : lost to Mohammad Talaei
1998 Tehran : defeated Abbas Hajkenari
2000 Sydney : defeated Mohammad Talaei
2001 Sufia : defeated Alireza Dabir
2003 NY : defeated Alireza Dabir
2005 Budapest : defeated Masoud Vahedi
I thought Heidari said this Iranian team will not be very good.
after 10 years one Iranian has found to defeat Barzakov. Barzakov lost to Talaei in 97 but defeated Hajkenari , Alireza Dabir, Talaei, Vahedi, Dadashpour. Taghavi took revenge after 10 years
I didn't know that Iranians were counting the years all the time.
I give Barzakov a bonus of +1 year for the spectacular way he pinned Hajkenari in Tehran. So the years are 11 :)
Dabir got screwed in Sofia in 2001 IMO.
Maybe. Well I give him 0.5. The years are 10.5
Barzakov will be 33 in Beijing. Is this his last year?
Its amazing this will be his 4th Olympics.
