i think technically shahin was pinned. but seeing as it was prety continuous and he got out, no ref could have made that decision that fast.

Anyone know if these are good shoes? They look pretty cool, similar to combat speeds.

The Matflex is the entry level shoe of the asics line. Honestly, they tend to be super durable, but a bit bulky. If you don't care about "performance features", i.e. nicer materials, split soles, rocket boosters, etc. then these are perfect.

Also, why didn't they call the fall in that Shahin match? That looked like a touch fall to me.

They look lightweight. Why on earth would a World champ wear an entry level shoe?

I don't need my shoes to be fancy schmancy, just lightweight and a good fit for my narrow feet. I like the combat speeds because they are bare bones. No bells and whistles.

    Sorry to hijack this thread.

Quick, I replied to the above post over in the miscelaneous thread about asics shoes. I do have a question pertaining to this competition though, maybe you know the answer.

Why is freestyle being wrestled first? I thought usually it is Women's then Greco, or some combination of this, and then concluding with Freestyle.

Is there a reason for this, like maybe there is a holiday they are trying to take advantage of, or maybe the like Greco whereever this is better?
