Re: Lawal
acctually i think askren has the best shot for gold, because he is the only one doing something different and acctualy shows continuous improvement. He could catch the russian in a pin due to his funky style. I have not seen any improvement in prtizlaffs wrestling. But i would like lawal to beat out either cormier or hrovat.

I was only thinking about Men's Freestyle.
In Greco I would say Lester, Vering and Bryers are have legitimate chances at gold and everyone else has at least a long shot chance.
I do not follow Women's wrestling that closely, but I would think there are several who have legitimate chances at Gold.

Re: Lawal
I prefer Lawal over hrovat (sp?), the latter doesn;t seem to have much against top guys, whereas Lawal does.

i also prefer Lawal more. Even though Hrovat did well against Saitiev, I think Lawal has more to offer. His match against Gatsalov was pretty exciting.

Everyone has to go through the team selection process, which includes the US Nationals in April and the World Team Trials in June. It's not a king of the hill thing where everyone has to go through the current top guy, but most likely, making the Olympic team will mean meeting Joe at some point.
